Since I updated to iOS 11, Garmin Connect Mobile no longer syncs with my Garmin Fenix 5S automatically via Bluetooth. I need to open the GC Connect App, and them manually click on the sync button (or do the same on my watch).
I'm having the same problem and have on every version of iOS including 11.03. Bluetooth shows my fenix 5X is connected but the app shows it as not connected. I get alerts but no sync. It randomly reconnects, though I can force it by shutting down the iPhone and starting it again. All the "fixes" I have seen posted have turned out to be temporary. I'm not sure whether this is an iOS 11 issue or a Garmin connect mobile issue but I agree that it is quite annoying and hope that there will be a fix one of these days.
Same issue my side, but fortunately do not have to go through such extremes.
I found that if I open my mobile app and only enable bluetooth after that (on my phone) it connects the app and the f5 without issues time and again. If bluetooth connection is made before opening the app, the phone is connected and the app displays that it is not connected.
Hello, are you still having problems with synchronization? I have GC 3.22.4.1 and IOS 11.0.3, unlink my devices (forerunner 620 and fenix 5S, uninstall the APP, insert again try to link and nothing, anyone knows what I can do? Thanks
Having same issues with iPhone and both garmin 920xt and 220... was fine Wednesday and now nothing! Mate had similar and garmin advised him to completely hard reset watch, which did work.... but not sure for how long!! this is ridiculous!!! I don’t have a laptop or pc so connecting now is non existent!!!! :(
Strange...due to an 'unfortunate event' my iPhone 6s+ has to be repaired, did a full backup, and received an iPhone SE as a loaner, which was on 10.3.3, did a clean install of 11.0.3 on it using itunes then placed the backup of the 6S onto the SE and now all problems seem to have gone. Been working for a couple of days as it should now.
I'm too having this problem and its driving me insane. Had my forerunner 235 for over a year and love it. But am so frustrated that cant pair my phone to the watch now...I really don't understand is it because of the ios 11.1 upgrade? I have messaged garmin support (I think - even finding that a problem, maybe I'm just crap with technology!!) has anyone heard from Garmin ? apple??
