Ios11 beta - LIVE TRACK not working. App crashes!

Please forward to Garmin developers
  • Umm, maybe. But most definitely forward to Apple beta team. Which you have done of course. No doubt Garmin are working with the iOS11b, but until it's officially released it's as much Apple's problem as Garmin's.

And BTW, there is an official Garmin Support channel to use. No point posting here if you want Garmin to take notice of it. However, we can be impressed that you're using iOS11b.
  • I agree that sending it to more official channels is good, but I also like to see it here -- it helps remind me of possible issues and to be more cautious about my desire to play with beta software :) (obviously those are the risks, but so often I neglect them because the public beta versions are _generally_ pretty good)

I can confirm that this is still an issue, even with the latest iOS beta.

The only workaround right now seems to be to uninstall the app completely and reinstall it and reconnect your device.

Sorry but this is the risk you take with beta software. I had issues in beta 1 and 2, but beta 7 is working great with Garmin Connect mobile. Try updating

I don't consider this related to risk - I'm a software developer and I deliberately upgrade to the betas after a period of time - not just for my own development and awareness purposes, but also so that I can test the apps out that are important to me and provide (hopefully helpful) feedback during the beta cycle.
  • Latest iOS beta installed yesterday (Monday 8/28) same live track crashing. The Connect beta still has not shown up for me. Sigh and GRRRRRRRRRR

    Sorry, you are incorrect..

If you use Beta software, you run a RISK that things will not work how they should... thats a risk! I run beta software to test apps and provide feedback to developers etc, but I run the RISK they will not work correctly with other apps or not operate how they should.
