Connect App Beta

Hi Eveyone,
I have the connect app on my iPhone 7 and iPad, with my fenix5s syncing to my Iphone & home wifi.
Yesterday while using the app on my iPad I had a pop up asking if I wanted to use the beta app my day, it looks nice.

Im wanting to use the my day beta app on my iPhone as well.
Would anyone know how I get the beta app also on my phone?

Cheers.

  • I get a delta on the front page. I weighed myself today and I lost .5 lbs.
  • I still have the stock UI ... kind of wish they would speed up the rollout.
  • Darre80 i get the same message every so often and just go back in and re enable it. It then starts back up

Ah... thanks I'm back in business ;)

Thanks pshare perhaps I will need to work a bit harder:rolleyes: . I lost 0.4 kg between weigh ins and it showed a delta of zero. Maybe with a long run this week end (and further starvation in my quest to get down to weight ...;)) I might get a larger delta and see something.
It shows the loss or gain correctly in the weigh in stats I am just seeing 0 in the weight widget on the my day screen with the top section expanded

Is there a way to have acces quicker ? I'd like to test and post feedback about this beta version
  • For me, uninstalling the app and reinstalling gave me the prompt to opt into the beta program - this was on iOS and Android.

I don't want to Jinx anything but previously my sleep recorded hours have never been correct for more than one day at a time, I'm on day three of the beta and the three nights worth of sleep hours have been perfect. Hope it's not just a lucky streak. Also, the new UI is way better than the old. Everything in one place. :)
  • Since sleep is based on calculations performed on web Connect online, I doubt the app has anything to do with it.

Do you lose anything doing this? E.G. Training effect, etc? Does anything need reconfiguring?

Given it's optional, and just a different interface to the same data, I don't really understand why it needs to be "rolled out" at all.

You are correct. The sleep data took a dive again last night. On my HR+, the data had me asleep from 4pm until 10pm (while at work, commuting, and having dinner) and awake afterwards - while asleep. I understand the data being confused while lying in bed, but while working/driving/walking? It bemuses me as to how it can be so far off.

As to the question of data being saved on an uninstall/reinstall - Id contact Garmin. I hesitate to advise anyone about data when in my experience they cant even get my sleep within a 12 hour window.
