Can I close the connect app? Notifications.

Hello,

could you help me please? Im new with this topic. I tried some watchfaces but I have a problem with it.

If I close the connect app on my iPhone the other watchfaces dont show me the notifications anymore. Is that normal? I dont have this problem with the original watchface. There I can close the app and I get all notifications without any problems.

I believe the app must be open (running in the background) to receive notifications, display the weather, etc, since the Connect app is what provides the software link from the watch to those items.
