iOS calendar events not populating GCM

Just purchased my Vivoactive HR. Isn't the GCM calendar supposed to pull events from my iOS calendar? I have granted access to Connect via my phone privacy settings and Connect settings. Nonetheless, my calendar in GCM remains empty. Any suggestions?

    Nope.

I guess this prompt during the setup implies the opposite to me...

To me, his prompt during the GCM setup implies GCM will pull events from your iOS calendar. If not, what does it mean?

  • If not, what does it mean?

It means the Garmin Connect Mobile app is thus allowed to send iOS calendar entries to a paired and connected Garmin device for the purposes of generating notifications/reminders and populating the Calendar widget (if there is one on the device).

It does not mean there is any integration between a user's calendar in Garmin Connect (containing activity entries and planned workouts, etc.) and the iOS calendar, so that the user could just look at one or the other and see everything.

So, are you saying that iOS calendar notifications will appear via the Calendar widget on the watch even though they're not appearing in the GCM app on the phone? I'm not getting any such notifications despite appointments being in my iOS calendar.

Is there another way to attain this functionality? Google calendar widget? Office 365?

I don't pair my Garmin wearable device with my iPad any more, so I don't know. My appointments in both my Outlook Calendar and my Google Calendar are displayed in the Calendar widget on my FR630, which is paired and connected to my Android handset, and I do get meeting reminders on the watch.
