Just bought the 5x Sappire. New to Garmin. Really disappointed with the watch Faces. Very few are configurable and those that are offer little flexibility, even finding one with a second hand is difficult. Quite a few that I tried where configuration was just OK seemed to keep resetting themselves to default. Am I the only one who has experienced this
So develop your own in Connect IQ. You can't get much more flexible than that.
The only thing you cannot have is a persistent seconds indicator – as digits, or as a second hand – except perhaps using one of the watch faces Garmin has provided natively.
Don't conflate flexibility with ready availability (much less service from CIQ developers who aren't working for Garmin, but develop and publish watch faces for their own reasons).
