Sync'ed Activities Disappearing

Hey all,

Anyone else having issues with sync'ed activities disappearing after the fact? Today, and last Monday, I went for a run using my Vivoactive. Run uploads just fine via the mobile app, activity shows on garmin connect website, syncs over to MapMyRun and MyFitnessPal just fine.

Then, a little later, that activity disappears. Checking both the mobile app and the desktop site, the run just has disappeared. My steps during that run are still present, but the actual run is gone.

  • Sync issues

    I've had this before and it was a bug in MFP but that was late 2016.

    I assume that both MFP and Connect are latest version of apps. If not, then update to latest version. I also suggest disconnect and reconnect the apps again.

    If you can see activity on the Tracker (using explore when cable connected) then you might be able to import it again or export from MapMyFitness and import it

    I have had the same issue for about two weeks now and there is an open ticket on the MFP side.

    Sync issues

    I'm having a similar problem (which seems to be since updated the iOS app).

    The My Day info re steps etc updates initially when synced but then appears to revert to the data that was synced when I manually connected via my PC. No other data will sync (i.e. activities)

    There is definitely a syncing issue. What's happened?!

    Just an update here:

    I'm still seeing the same issue, even after uninstalling/reinstalling the app, and has occurred on three different garmin devices (VivoActive, FR920XT, Fenix5x). It happens probably about 75% of the time that my watch syncs with the garmin connect mobile app after an activity. I've seen it with runs, treadmill runs, indoor cyling.

    The activity still lives on the watch, so it's not too hard to just plug my watch in and reupload it to the garmin connect desktop site. But it IS extremely annoying.


    Support has not been able to help in any real way, and have basically given up. :confused:

    I'm having a similar problem, but it's a little odder, because what i am missing is new records. The activity is synced but the record is lost as i've explained on https://forums.garmin.com/forum/into...connect/160347 post
