Heart rate

Hi guys.

I've recently purschased a Vivosmart HR and downloaded the Garmin connect app. How do I get a continuous heart rate graph to show up in the app? The only way I can do it is to select an activity then it records my heart rate data until I press stop. This is no good to me as I want it to continuously record data for a constant heart rate graph like the fitbits do, is this possible?

Thanks.
  • I think that's a setting you have to enable. Start by enabling Activity Tracking.

Hi. I have enabled Activity Tracking but it still doesn't show up on the app. The only way I can get it to show heart rate is putting it in either running/cardio/other mode and starting the timer, this obviously kills the battery when left on so I only get 24hrs before having to charge it.
The watch itself shows a graph of the last 4hrs of heart rate but there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the app that shows this?

I find it very hard to believe I cant get a graph to show on the app seeing as it takes my heart rate every 5 mins in normal mode? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
  • Can you see the data on the Garmin Connect website?

Maybe check the snapshots in the app (4 squares in top right). Maybe there's a heart rate one that's not enabled.

    Heart rate snapshot myday

Select Snapshot >> My day >>Timeline.
It will show you the graph in portrait mode.
    Select the graph
Rotate the IPhone to get landscape mode.
Push and hold finger to get details of heart rate and time.
  • @winklexx I’m having the same problem and I have not been able to resolve it.
