Working calender?

I want to see my gmail calender on my fenix 3 hr but the only thing to do that is to open the connect app on my iphone 6s and then i can see it, but as soon as i close the connect app i´m not able to see my calender.
So how do i do to fix this so i always can see my calender as long as i have enabled bluetooth? I mean so i don´t need to have my connect app running on my phone?

    Absolutely nothing.

Don't presume what you want (or how you want things to work) is possible or ought to be possible. Your Garmin wearable device will show Calendar entries it obtains from your phone, which you can reasonable assert is a feature you are led to expect by the product's marketing collateral – provided you do the right things (including but not limited to having a compatible Calendar application on your mobile device, having paired your Garmin device with your mobile device, and running the Garmin Connect Mobile app on your mobile device so that the Garmin device can communicate with it and use it to retrieve the Calendar information. Just because you imagined the watch can exchange information directly with the Calendar app, it doesn't mean that is grounded in reality or how it ought to have been implemented.

I thought that the watch should be able to get the information from my phone if i had the bluetooth enabled and the connect app in the background without having the app on all the time but i guess not.
