Activities Timezone

Someone can explain me how the timezone works?

My iPhone is from Portugal but I'm living in Namibia. In Garmin Connect I have my time zone establish for Namibia and in my iPhone it's automatic.

If I use my Garmin Vivosmart HR+ for an activity with GPS it is saved with the Portuguese hour (less 2hrs).... the same activity with the Move IQ its saved with the Namibian time.
If I use the watch indoor, no GPS, the activities are stored with the correct Namibian time.

Don´t understand this!

    Hello Fadias,

All GPS data received from satellites using Garmin devices is logged as GCT = Time Zone 0 with no daylight savings time adjustment. It does not matter where you bought your devices. The times and dates you see on your different devices is based on the time setting and the time zone setting for that particular device. So....if all devices are set to the same time and time zone your activities will all display the same date and time. :o

That would be great... but my settings is defined for Central Africa and my activity was recorded as Western Africa.

    Hello Fadias,

I misunderstood your problem. :p To show the correct date and time for a recorded activity on your computer you need to set your computer to the timezone in which the activity was recorded.
If you upload that West Africa activity to Garmin Connect it should show the correct date and time that you recorded the activity. GC uses the coordinates in your file to set the correct timezone for whatever activity you load.
