Chronos Sync issue iOS

Hi everyone

I'm a new Garmin owner and having fun with my new Chrinos. Only thing is, when i try to connect the device to the Garmin Connect Mobile iOS...all goes well and syncs occurs (ie bluetooth pairing works etc)...but as soon as it's complete, the watch reboots!

Once the watch is up again, if i try and snyc, same re-boot cycle!

I have restored the watch to factory (both soft and hard reset) and also removed the app (several times now), rebooted the phone and re-installed. Same issue.

I have logged a ticket with Garmin and they're being very very helpful and hopefully i can get it resolved (and it's a software/patch issue rather than a faulty unit!)

Anyway, it *seems* the Chronos is very similar at a software level to the fenix3, so I'm wondering have any other iOS/fenix3 users seen this issue or similar?
