Steps Auto goal issue

I had knee surgery a couple weeks ago and for the first week while on crutches, I was registering less than 500 steps per day. I was up to 11,000 + step goal prior to the surgery, but for the first few days after the surgery, the auto step goal stayed at 11,092. Is this because the actual was so low? I manually reduced it and since I'm off crutches am trying to up my steps slightly each day, like the auto-goal would. However, if I turn on auto-goal it jumps straight to 11,092. I'm manually bumping it up each day now.
Is there a way to completely reset the auto-goal so that it will start working at what I'm at now (almost 3750 steps today, still in a full-extension lock-out for two more weeks).
  • If you delete the device from Connect and Express and then readd it, the autogoal should reset to 7,500 and rapidly head downwards. Anyhow, that is what happened to me a few months ago post surgery.
  • I think you can achieve the same thing by choosing a manual step goal and then flipping it back to auto. I'm not sure but you might have to wait a day before flipping it back to auto. It's easy enough to test.

I had tried flipping from auto to manual already and had gayer on manual for almost 2weeks, but it always jumped back to 11,092. Forgetting and re-adding th device worked. But, since it is a vivoactive hr, it restarts at 10,000. It is working now.
    Thanks
