Unable to edit activity in Garmin Connect Mobile app

I have been unable to edit cycling activities in GC Mobile since the latest 3.11 updates. I get the "Unable to edit activity. Try again." error, together with a red band at the top of the screen that shows "Network Connectivity Error". See attached screen shot.

I only have the problem with cycling activities recorded with Garmin Edge 1000. I have a couple of other cycling or running activities recorded with Vivoactive HR that I am able to edit. I am not able to edit various activity fields - I have tried activity name, distance, type. I have tried over WiFi and over wireless cellular provider, no luck.

Versions:
- Garmin Connect Mobile 3.11.1.26
- iOS 10.0.2
- Garmin Edge 1000 firmware 10.0

Has anyone else noticed the same problem?
