iOS 10 notification multiplying and buzzy like mad

So notifications are working fine on my FR235, unless I switch on my phone (or illuminate) then they come again, and again every time I switch on my phone. Which if you have a few, is a little frustrating. Only solution is to either switch them off or 'accept' all in hope no others arrive.
I wonder if anyone else is experiencing similar issue. I've check the forums and there is nothing specific that I've seen.
Many thanks.
  • I'm not sure I understand your problem completely. If you want notifications all the time, you need to have your phone and your 235 paired (which it seems you do), have your phone turned on and leave Garmin Connect Mobile running in the background with the necessary permissions.

All of which cause an extra drain on the batteries of the 235 and the phone so you'll have to figure out for yourself if it's a feature you really want or need.

I get a barrage of buzzing way too often also. Seems like my phone (iPhone 6s plus with ios10) gets duplicate notifications often and sends them to the watch over and over. I see old notifications from after clearing them. Not sure what is going on!

Solution appears to be doing a 'reset all network settings' in the general tab of settings app. I haven't had any duplicate buzzing since. I try this first after an update if I'm having issues, ahead of a full reset... which can clearly take a lot of time and inconvenience. Hope it works for you.
