Vivosmart HR not connecting to iPhone 5 after IOS 10 update

I have tried a few things, deleted it from the Bluetooth list, reset network settings, deleted & reinstalled the app, hard restarted the phone, not necessarily in that order.

Nothing working so I guess I'll have to wait for a software or app update.

In hindsight it may have been better if I hadn't updated the phone, but what's done is done.

    Same here

    I had the same experience after I updated my iPhone 6 to iOS 10. I really miss not being able to sync my stats.

    I am open to suggestions and would love to get an update on the timeline to provide an update to the app

    I also miss the notifications, calls, texts etc. very useful at work as I usually have my phone on silent. I am now waiting on my new phone, iPhone 7 plus, so I won't try the phone reset on this phone as someone suggested. Hopefully by the time I get it the issue will be sorted.

    I fear this is wishfull thinking, because many vendors have updated their apps for iOS 10 BEFORE the release. Garmin seems to be still sleeping :(

    That's quite funny - a company that makes activity trackers, they need to wake up & get moving I'd say

    Garmin are not alone ... the vendor of my guitar amp simulation also has no solution so far. And I bet there are other vendors too.

    It's always the same and happened with iOS 9 too, not to mention all iOS bugs, where Apple often needed 3 updates to fix the most important stuff. And btw ... on OSX it's the same as on iOS :( ... the problem is, an OS needs to mature and a life cycle of only one year is definitely too short.

    Nowadays nearly all customers of any software product are beta testers without knowing it :mad:

    Fixed!!

    Not sure how, today I plugged the Vivosmart HR into my PC at work & logged in to Garmin Connect online, couldn't sync as I needed Garmin Express which I can't really install on my work PC. I just tried to add the device again through the app & it worked! Yay! Rapt as I missed a call on my phone today so hopefully no more.
    It has also synced to the app!

    Yesterday was a Connect maintenance as it seems, because several people, me included, noticed login issues for a while. Maybe Garmin fixed something on the server side?
