Garmin Connect v 3.10.0.11 and Edge 520 v7.1 data not uploading

Hi,
I haven't had any previous issues syncing my data to Garmin Connect but it has stopped working since I updated to the latest versions.
I have tried 10 times now including a reboot and it keeps stating upload failed.
If I reset the Edge to factory settings could that resolve the issue? Problem is I am on a cycling holiday so cannot then reinstall the the 7.10 version.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
