Synchs but no data transfers

Have had my vivomove for 2 weeks and it's been working great. Synchs whenever I try, data looks very accurate. Tried to synch this am and my iPhone says it is syncing then the bar turns green and it says the synch was successful but no data is transferred and my device says last synch was yesterday. Have reloaded Garmin Connect on my phone and done a hard reset on my device but am unable to get a synch. Is it just dead? 😚 Gail

Gave up waiting for email response from Tech - 20+ mins on the phone and finally they are looking into it. Hopefully get it sorted soon - no vitality points this week for me
  • The manual says that the device should store data for up to 3 weeks and will delete the oldest data first...I'm hoping this means that when the issue is fixed, all of my missed days will be available again.

My Edge 810 has had it's fair share of issues over the years as well. One thing is fixed, another is broken. It happens.

I'm having a similar problem with the Android app. It stopped syncing on the 9th.
I created a topic in the Android forum yesterday, as well as emailing Garmin, but haven't had a response from them.
  • Sync but no data

Have just tired to sync again, this time with app closed and guess what it synced today's data but I have lost 2 days which is rather annoying. Still waiting for r spouse from Garmin:rolleyes:
  • I can confirm that mine is working again as well.

I synced from within the app, it took a good 2 minutes or so, but all of my back data shows up on my calendar as well.

Unfortunately, the two knockoff watchbands I bought from Amazon do not fit or broke within a matter of days. Now it's time to deal with them.
  • Thank you! This solution (syncing from the watch with the app closed rather than initiating sync from the app as I usually do) worked for me. Although, unlike you, I did not lose any old data in the process, which was good.

    To clarify for others:
I had a similar problem with my Vivoactive 4s. Some crude data such as total daily step count was transferring on sync but not the detailed stuff such as the step count graph, body battery, and other graphs, which all stopped abruptly from about 10 hours earlier in the day. Tried restarting the watch, the app and my iPhone. Nothing worked.

    Then I tried Karen22p's suggestion:
    1. Close the Garmin Connect app on your phone.
    2. Sync using the sync icon in the Controls Menu on your watch (may be different for other models).
    3. Open the Garmin Connect app – detailed data now shows in the app
