removing a device from iOS app

Hi

Is there any way at all to remove a device from the iOS app when you no longer own it?

I used to have an edge 510 with I resold when I bought an 810. It's removed and no longer showing on the desk top version of Garmin Connect, but it still shows in the device list of the iOS update app.

It has long since been removed from the apple iPhone ....in fact I've had a new handset since the 510 was sold.

The app seems to require that the device be paired at the time of device deletion, but thats impossible given I don't know where in the world it is.

I've removed the 510 from the listings on that page just now, not sure why it was still there when I'd removed it from the main Garmin Connect website where all my activities etc are when I sold the device.

The 510 still shows on the iOS app devices page though

I replaced my Edge 1000 under warranty (Thank you Garmin. I wasn't expecting a replacement). I've deleted my old unit from mygarmin.com and Garmin connect online, but is still remains listed as an unconnected device on my iOS app and there seems to be no way to delete it from the list. This is more an annoyance than anything else, but I would like to forget my old device.

If you have deleted form Garming my units

Also delete you old device from gaming connect web

Then delete your iOS gamin connect app erasing all data , install again, all data will sync from web.

Then form iOS app you will only see your actual device.

You don't need to pair it again, you will need to log in your gamin connect account once you start gamin app first time.

Then go to devices , you will see the new device detected from gamin connect account data , then link app to it.

I have done those steps updating a forerunner

    little update for anyone interested.

Garmin gave the ability to remove a device that you no longer have access to in their last update of the iOS app, my long departed 510 is now removed from the device list :)

    Thanks Garmin
