I was having a issue with the syncing between the Garmin Connect app and Apple Health so i deleted the app and did not keep the data in apple health. I then reinstalled the Garmin Connect app and not it won't connect to Apple heath. How the *** do i get it to work? is there a way to reset the connection like in other apps like runtastic or runkeeper?

    Bump!
  • Have you checked in the Apple Health App that the categories are turned on? Fine on my iPhone 6, iOS 10 and whatever latest GCM is.

Im sorry to say that, but the sync between GCM and Health is so buggy, that it isn't worth any hassle ... every sleep phase even awake times get synched as deep sleep, activity calories nearly never get synced, etc..

There are many reports about this mess.

So even if you get your problem fixed, it's not of much use, except creating further disappointment

Compatible apps should automatically show up as data sources in Health. So maybe try uninstalling and reinstallin GCM again. If that doesn't help I fear you need to contact Gramin Support.

But as I said, it's not worth the hassle, because Connect's sync to Health is extremely buggy and syncs more crap, than useful data.

It's in (or should be in) the Health App under Sources:

There has certainly been a change in behaviour since WatchOS3 so perhaps Apple is working out a few more kinks.

Sometimes, even with Apple devices, a reboot changes things. To reboot, press and hold both the home button and power on/off button together until the Apple logo shows, then release and allow to restart.

Same issue here. I wanted to sync steps activity from Health App to GCM. Any ideas?
  • Same problem for me. Garmin connect does also not appear in the sources of the Apple Health app on my iPhone 6 (iOS 10.0.2).
  • Can't explain why it works on my iPhone 6 with iOS 10, but it does and no problems either.

Are you paired to Garmin Connect Mobile? Are you getting bluetooth uploads to Garmin Connect online? Does everything else work as expected?
