Vivoactive HR - Steps not counting

I recently purchased a Vivoactive HR to replace my Fitbit surge. It seems a good device so far.
However it does not seem to count steps when going up stairs.
Has anybody else encountered this issue?

Also doesn't count Floors climbed all the time

Yes i seem to have the same issue on occasion, also noticed that some days i have more
Flights descended than climbed! (same flights of stairs BTW)
