Version 3.5

Great - a new version of GC for iOS. And it had the magic words "Improved support for Apple Health" in the description. Finally GC can exchange the relevant data with Health. Or... it does not work. Since the update nothing gets written to (or read from) Health - not even the steps that used to be written (well, on the positive side: as no steps are recorded in Health from GC the issue with multiple identical entries have been solved...).

Also GC back-end in general had problems yesterday - seems solved now but Intensity Minutes from yesterday are lost.

Anyone with a more positive experience with the new version?

UPDATE:
Suddenly I have data from GC in Health - apparently it took some time to write them. I now have HR, Sleep, Steps, Stair etc. synced to Health including historic data. Still missing Energy and Training... So far GC has not read anything from Health though. We are getting there :-)
  • I'm still not sure how useful Apple Health is in general ... as a health data hub it's probably adequate, but you need apps that will use the data stored in Health.

Does anyone know of an app that will use the sleep data?

Seems to be writing data OK, although there is some delay. Hasn't read any weight values yet. Fingers crossed.

It appears to happen on forced sync. Open another app. Close it. Open Garmin Connect. In my case it will then sync with my FR25. Then when I check Apple Health data is written at least to Steps.
