Insights on WRONG DAY

Hi!
Since easter i got two insights. The first was comparing Easter Monday stats to the sunday, even saying that i am having a lazy SUNDAY on Monday, the second i got yesterday (saturday) comparing my saturday steps to the "typical friday" and asking me why i am having a lazy friday.

Looks like it cant separate the days properly.

I've been trying to find a way to bring this to their attention. The server that generates insights is either in the UK or US and doesn't understand timezones. It's always talking about the current day (and shows current day's data), but names it as the previous day for people like me on Australia's east coast (GMT+10). For example, on Saturday morning I got an insight saying my steps for Friday were lower than usual for that time of the day, and it showed Saturday's steps + Saturday's trend. GMT and GMT-5 (US Eastern) it would have still been Friday, but for me in GMT+10 it was Saturday. For a global system, that's a pretty shocking lapse in planning/design.
  • Insights are off by about half a day in Sweden as well. So I'd guess the server generating the insights is located in the US and someone forgot that not everyone lives there.

Seeing the same thing here in GMT+8 (Singapore) insights saying having a lazy Friday arriving on Saturday mornings, I tried to call the Asia Pacific support, but trying to explain this to someone who's first language isn't English in Taiwan did not work well, they had me reset my watch (Forerunner 235), needless to say that changed nothing, then said they would call me back and never did.

Also I see the synchronization to MFP exhibits similar symptoms, when weight gets synched from MFP to GC it is shown assigned to the previous day in GC

Interestingly, MyFitnessPal exhibits similar symptoms too, when weight is synched from MFP to GC it appears under the previous day in GC and in the GCM calendar.

I suspect it's MFP's systems stuffing that up. It always seems to be direct sync between MFP and another system (not via a phone) that gets the wrong date for me. I used to have a problem with weight from Withings to MFP being the previous day's date. MFP told me it was Withings systems that did the sync so contact them. I did, two months later still no reply despite attempts to chase them up. I've now set it to go through Apple Health instead of direct from Withings to MFP. Weight now appears with the correct date in MFP. But came across from MFP direct to Garmin with the wrong date. It's always the sync between MFP and other directly (not via a phone) that puts the wrong date in. I'm hoping when Garmin fix the reading of weight from Apple Health it'll start appearing in Garmin with the correct date.

I'm using the FitBit Aria scales and the sync from FitBit to MFP has always been perfect, correctly showing the weight on the right date, it's only then the sync from MFP to GC that I've ever seen problems.

I'm pretty sure the problem is on the import of the weight data on the GC side, as the sync between FitBit and MFP looks perfect to me and the wrong dates showing on insights shows that GC is having problems with non-US time zones.

Am wondering too about the launched weight import from Apple Health for GCM yesterday, but so far all I have noticed that doing is GCM is duplicating the weight data MFP already exported to Apple Health.
