Garmin connect mobile iOS 9.2.1 iPad 2 managing IQ data fields

It appears that GCM uses ble Bluetooth to manage the new IQ data fields on edge 1000, however it does sync using standard Bluetooth to install the app

None of the app management facilities exist on the iPad and just posts a pop up saying no Bluetooth connection when you tap device in list of devices

Using an old iPad with no ble makes this task only 50% complete and once installed they cannot be managed using a wired connection either as when you try to remove the app it is still in the device app folder and it will not save configurations you have to manually clear the device folder and install and config from pc based version

Surely it would be better for GCM to try and establish a ble connection or check it exists and fallback to old fashioned Bluetooth if that fails

Also when transferred to device using GCM it creates a program file name with a double dot in the filename whereas the hard wired PCs method creates a filename with a single dot

Some work required by the programmers here me thinks
