Weight data not updating in Garmin Connect Mobile

As the title says. No weight update in GC Mobile (iOS) with Edge 1000 v6.0 update with Tanita BC1000. The weight and metrics appear to be recorded on the Edge 1000, but even though it syncs ok with GC, I'm getting no weight and no metrics. It just seems to copy the weight from the last known recording i.e. Before updating to v6.0.

I'm posting here as I've had no replys in the edge 1000 forum, however I've read reports of Garmin Index users not getting the metrics updated in GCM.

At the risk of sounding like a spoilt brat: Somebody please fix this or I'll be selling up and going to Fitbit. Not too unreasonable to ask for something to 'just work' given the money I've spent...

Just manually synced my Edge 1000 with Garmin Connect on my PC and the weight values have finally updated.

Therefore this issues reside with GC Mobile (iOS) or the Edge 1000 interaction with GC mobile. I never had any problems before the v6.0 firmware update.

Please can you fix this ASAP Garmin. Thanks.

I can confirm that this is still broken with v7.0 of the Edge 1000 firmware and the latest Garmin Connect Mobile version.

    Dear Garmin,

Has this been rectified yet please?

There have been a lot of reports of weight metrics not being uploaded to GC Mobile:

Can you please sort this one out as it is proper annoying! Thanks.

I am sorry that the weight metrics are not uploading from Edge 1000 through the mobile app. The engineering teams are aware of the issue and are working to get it resolved. While I don't have a time frame when it will be released, the fix will most likely be a future update to the Garmin Connect Mobile app. I apologize for the inconvenience.

    Grrr

Any chance of the engineering team working 'a little harder' on this one? They still haven't fixed the bug of updating weight information from 3rd party scales via Edge devices and GCM iOS.

It used to work and now it doesn't, so presumably it can't be that hard to rectify? It wasn't fixed in the last update and it has been broken for months...

This issue was resolved in the software version 8.0 update for the Edge 1000. For the weight data to be uploaded through the GCM, the Edge 1000 will need to be power cycled. Power cycling the device will package up the weight file in a way that allows it to transfer through Bluetooth. You could power your unit off after weighing yourself and immediately power it back on, and when it connects with your phone the weight data will upload. You could also weight yourself, power the unit on, and then wait to power the unit on when you go for your next ride. Either way the weight data will transfer through Bluetooth after the unit is power cycled.
