anyone can advice me please, i trying to change setting on the Watchface that i load from Connect IQ, but when i hit Save button, it show message " Open outside Garmin Connect ?"


  • I haven't encountered that particular issue ... but I'm going to guess that the settings in the app are trying to open a URL that isn't inside the garmin app store, so the mobile app is trying to launch it using safari.

    I suspect the watch app needs to be updated.

    Got exactly the same problem.
    The app is updated. In order to be sure of that I deleted the app and installed it again. Got the same problem again...:(
  • I have 2 IQ watchfaces on my VA. One of them can only be updated in Express and the other can only be updated in the Mobile app. When I try to do the opposite, it just doesn't work although it's supposed to.

    Try both. One might work.

    I tried configuring the app using an Android app with another phone and it worked!
    So the problem is with the IOS app.

    I have the same issue on my ios device.
    My friend's device it works great with the ios system, has anyone found a solution to this issue?
  • Got the same message. With the UltraSlim face and also with a Garmin face from the IQ Store. Installed this morning the UltraSlim, worked perfectly but since this afternoon I get this message. Anyone can provide a solution? Thanks

  • Yeah same here. Works OK if you use Garmin Express on a PC but you can't change any settings on iOS. Another bug?
  • Yes, installed Garmin Express on my Mac and it worked. But now I have a weird issue with notifications icon shown on the watch face - it's the UltraSlim. I don't know where the face sees the notification count but it seems I cannot escape. Syncing with my phone does't help. Will wait until tomorrow to see maybe it'll go away.
    Anyway, weird issue with the Mobile Connect app.....

    I have the same issue, iPhone X, just got it last week. Fully updated to 12.1.4 (16D57).
    At least I can fix it on my android tablet.

    I have the exact same problem latest IOS and Garmin Mobile Connect App updates installed. Does anyone have any solutions?
