Hello,

How can I transfer a GPX file from my iPhone directly to a fenix 3 watch, without using a computer ?

You can't... I've been asking for this and some other things (waypoints management, sync without internet connection, gpx/tcx import) from months...

I have no idea how do they decide what will be added in the next sw version :(

I'm this close to buying a Fenix 3, but the lack of this feature really is a big fat minus in my book. It's 2016, the device has Bluetooth + WLAN capabilities… I don't get it. This would be so useful, especially BT, if you're in a remote location with no signal strength you could still populate your device with all tracks you got on your smartphone.

Going to submit my 1st Garmin feature request.
  • for now you can buy a cheap android phone for 150 $ and use the App IQMapReceiver to transfer at least the Waypoints of Gpx files
  • I use this device: https://www.hama.com/00114978/hama-wi-fi-sd-usb-data-reader-for-smartphone-and-tablet-pc

Not that easy to use though.

It creates a local WIFI network. You connect your iPhone to that network, and plug in your Garmin device via the USB port. You can access your drive through a web page. Doesn't always work without an power source.
