Can't get custom stride length to match between Vivosmart HR and Garmin Connect

I have a Vivosmart HR and primarily use Garmin Connect Mobile as my VS HR interface.

There are two forms where I can set a custom stride length for my walking and/or running stride. These are either through the user settings for Garmin Connect Mobile itself, or through the user settings for Garmin Devices-Vivosmart HR, through Garmin Connect Mobile.

When I set a custom stride length in one or the other user setting form, the custom stride length in the other user setting form blows up to a crazy, totally uncorrelated custom stride length.

Has anyone experienced this and has found a solution to this problem? I love getting three miles of credit for an actual two mile run (because my actual running stride length is shorter than the "canned" setting), but I'd much rather have my VS HR generate a little closer estimate to my actual!

Thanks in advance!!

I had the same problem with this. The settings on the VSHR matched the connect settings online but was way off on the mobile connect settings. Since distance is displayed on the VSHR before it is synced to the mobile connect, I assume that it was tracking correctly. It seemed to match my treadmill runs pretty close. I never found a fix for it.
