Garmin connect using iPhone steps

Can GC use/download the steps measured by the iPhone?

I can't seem to get this working.

Nope. You can't. This is one tem tightly locked down. There are a number of reasons for this. One reason is that there are challenges and this keeps everyone on the same page.
