Wrist display wearing out? Numbers missing parts

I have a vivosmart that I got last Christmas and in the last few weeks the display has parts missing out the of it like the tops of all the words and numbers and a bit on each side and the bottom. Is this covered by the warranty? I did not use any chemicals or bug spray etc on it. I live in Nova Scotia Canada. Thanks for any help you can provide. Debbie.
  • Yes - it's covered. I just swapped mine for the same reason. It's a common issue and Garmin will replace it no questions asked.

You need to contact Garmin support at the 800 number or fill out a form on their support site. They will refer you to Raytech in Montreal. I have found for this situation, it's better to fill out the form as they will email you back within a day or so nd you'll be good to go. If you call, they will have to co-ordinate with Raytech and that can take some time. You then go to the Raytech website, print out a shipping label and send it in. I live in Montreal, so I was able to drive there and make the swap. You'll have to depend on the mail.

I've been having issues too and I've had mine for 6 months. It loses track of time, numbers and words are missing. When I asked tech support for help I was told to use vasoline on the battery. I didn't do it. I bought the 2 yr warranty. How do I exchange mine? Thanks.

Hi Akasha. See Phil's reply. I am in Canada so I had to use the email option but do as Phil says. I am not sure they will replace mine but they sent me an RMA number after I answered a few troubleshooting questions. I just mailed it yesterday so I expect to hear soon.
  • As for solving your time issue, make sure the band is set to update from mobile. Go to the clock icon, swipe to show Mobile, and then press it to confirm the selection. That being said, you should swap out your band for one with a completely working display. Just contact support.

    Debbie,

You shouldn't have an issue getting a replacement. One issue you might have is that Raytech has a limited supply of vivosmarts in stock so if you send in a specific colour, they may wait until they have the same colour in stock before sending your replacement. You might want to contact them to find out what colours they may have in stock. In my case, I replaced a black band with a grey one. Otherwise, I would have had to wait as much as 2 or 3 weeks more.

    Screen stopped working

The screen on my vivosmart just stopped working. The device still works and syncs. Will I be qualified for a replacement?
  • Also, see pshare reply. Call the 800 number, give them your serial number and explain them the problem.
as long the device is under warranty, they will replace it.

How do i send in my vivosmart?

I have been approved for a replacement device because it's still under warranty but I'm not sure how to mail my old device. I have the RMA number and address of the return facility. Am I supposed to pay to have it shipped there or what?
