Active Calories display on iOS app

Using 2.14 of the iOS application, I notice that the "Active Calories" graphs don't seem to make sense when you have multiple activity types.

For example, today I have 1029 active calories, and my graph shows that I did about 850 running, which is correct, I did 887. The graph also shows that I did a total of about 1000 calories walking. Which is not the case, I did about 1000 in total! The graph shows that I have a total of about 1800. My total, including BMR is 3399, so that is not being used either.

Is anyone else seeing this? And have they tried to report it to Garmin? When I tried to report it, the support person really didn't understand what the issue was.
  • Now that you mention it.... I see the same sort of weirdness. I can also see it on the Garmin Connect web version in Reports->All Activities->Active Calories. (There's more detail on the web so it is easier to drill down)

For me, the summary says 440 active calories so far for today, but the graph on the report shows a total of 784 made up for 381 from running (which exactly matches the run I did today) and 403 from walking. I have no idea where it is getting the 403 from.

If I go to Daily Summary->Activities it shows the 381 calories for the run and 59 calories for Daily Steps.

It makes no sense at all.

At least I am not alone in this feeling!
