Unable to sync since downloading watch face

Hi recently bought the Fenix 3 and was very happy with it.

However since (seemingly) trying to install the "Simplicity: Roman" watch face I am now unable to sync fully. I can get data from the watch into Connect (via Android Garmin Connect app) but it does not seem able to send data back to the watch. I have an increasing number of updates I am unable to send to the device.

Any tips on how to get this sorted would be much appreciated.

  • Have tried doing a hard reset and still unable to sync - cannot send personal records etc.

    Have removed the device from garmin connect and re-added.

    This is incredibly frustrating.

    Same issue.
    Everything up to date. Fenix on 4.60, latest express, latest Garmin Connect app. Reinstalled everything, rebooted the watch, restarted everything, giving up now. Can't get a sync even when plugged in via usb for the Garmin Connect store. I can upload activities by plugging in, that is all. $700 watch and software that can't cope it seems.

    Same issue on my side. Unable to upload anything on my Fenix 3. Unable to SYnch, or upload individually.
