my fenix 2 still unable bluetooth pairing with my Lenovo P780

after the latest 2 more updates for 2.13.2 and now 2.13.2.1 i am still unable to pair my fenix 2 with my Lenovo P780 which is really annoying, the app is basically useless now!! have already done all the things like uninstall the app and reinstall again, clear all the cache and data none of the instruction given works at all. so now after each workout i have to upload my workout via the usb cable only through my computer. my Lenovo P780 able to connect to my fenix 2 if through the phone bluetooth function which means the phone bluetooth is working perfectly, only that inside the garmin connect apps itself that it can't seem to find the device which kept on prompting device not found.

    fttsen,
What version of Android is your Lenovo P780 running?

The Fenix 2 uses bluetooth low energy, not bluetooth classic to communicate with Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM). Android doesn't support BLE until Android version 4.3. According to the http://shop.lenovo.com/ae/en/smartphones/p-series/p780/#tab-tech_specs, the stock Android build on that phone is verson 4.2.

Please update your Fenix 2 to version 4.40, using Garmin Express http://software.garmin.com/en-US/express.html and answer the above question, and we'll go from there.
    Thanks!

ok, let me be a bit more specific... the app was working flawlessly with my Lenovo P780 before they update to version 2.13, and my fenix 2 already at firmware 4.40 and my lenovo p780 is also already on kitkat 4.4.0. so it has nothing to do with bluetooh low energy or classic. if it work in version 2.12+ how can it became a totally failed app when they update to 2.13+??? the app is so useless now as it can't even pair with your own device in your own app!!!
  • hi DOUG996INKC,

ok, let me be a bit more specific, the app usual to be working flawlessly before they updated it to version 2.13, and my fenix 2 has already been updated to 4.40 firmware the day i bought it, and my Lenovo P780 also has been updated to kikat 4.4.0, so it's not about the low energy or classic bluetooth problem you mentioned. if it worked on version 2.12+ before then why can't it work in 2.13+??? it's now basically a useless app on my phone as you can't even pair your own watch with your own app let alone sync!!!
