Is there any plans to allow smart notifications to work on the android platform (world's biggest platform ) I have a
approach g7 and would find this very useful to allow phone to be on silent and safe in golf bag.
Smart notifications work great on android. I use them all the time with my Fenix 3. Your issue is with the Garmin device no supporting them rather than android or Garmin connect.

Unless you did the latest Connect update which broke sync and smart notifications making you have a useless device.
