It's not possible to synchronized Vivofit with Connect by Bluetooth for me

Former Member
Former Member
Connect ver. 2.12
I tried to unpair device, pair it again.

Vivovit was paired without problem.

But Garmin Connect doesn't see paired device.

Watch video example of this trouble https://youtu.be/MpXrY-1DRgM

I read Bluetooth troubleshooter about turn-on \ turn off Android device
It doesn't work for me.

Any idea what am I doing wrong ? :-(
  • In the first 24 seconds of your video, you pair to your phone's bluetooth. That is an incorrect procedure.
Go back into BT settings and delete the device. Then go into Connect and pair in the Connect app (not the phone).
  • Also, you should see the word "Pair" - not sync on the vivofit. You need to hold the button longer to get it into pair mode.

When I tried to hold Viuvofit button more time - it switched to Sleep mode from Sync mode.

How to pair program ? it's not device.
Also, I.ve updated to 2.13.1.1 - result all the same.
I unpaired Vivofit from Bluetooth, opened Connect.
There is no such option - pair program only
    we have:
    - Dashboard
    - News Feed
    - Notifications
    - Social
    - Devices - I tried to add Vivovofit here - no result
    - Help
    - Settings

Could you indicate how to pair Garmin Connect Software and Bluetooth? I didn't quite catch how to do this :-(
  • You neeed to hold the vivofit button until the word "PAIR" appears.
In the app, choose devices and press the + sign and go from there.

Presumably, you have a profile setup in advance. If not, it might ask you.

The following youtube video should help although you may already have done of it.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d-s8Xb7qL4&feature=youtu.be

    From Garmin Support
Place the Android device within 10 ft. (3 m) of the watch.
Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on the Android device (see Android device manual for details).
On the Android device, open the Garmin Connect Mobile application.
Touch the Menu button (3 lines) located in the upper-left corner.
    Touch 'Devices'.
Touch '+' in the upper-right corner.
    Touch 'Health & Fitness'.
    Touch 'vivofit' or 'vivofit 2'.
Enter each field of required Personal Information.
Allows the watch to learn your activity level and assign a personalized daily goal.
    Touch 'Next'.
Press and Hold the device key on the watch until 'PAIR' appears.
Touch 'Search for Device' in the Garmin Connect Mobile application.
Verify Passcode shown in app matches code shown on watch screen.
    Touch 'Ok'.
    Allow initial Syncing to complete.
    Touch 'Done'.

PAIR text is blinking on Vivofit for 30 sec. after that - Device not found.
ok. I'll show you vide example today. :-(

    Hello niktibik !

pshare has provided some great information for you here, but I did want to be sure you are removing the ANT stick before trying to pair with the phone. If the ANT stick is plugged in, the vivofit will ignore the phone and try to connect to the ANT stick.

    oops... you are right.
ANT+ connection was inside whole time of testing :(

When I paired without connector - pairing was fine !!!!

Watch video example here - www.youtube.com/watch

BUT, at the end disconnecting was occurred.
Does it mean, that I have more data for synchronization ?
    -----------------
Why connection was lost during uploading ? see video ...
    ----------------

Finally, I've added Vivofit to Dashboard with help of Adnroid program.

After that I tried to synchronize data with help of ANT+ and Windows PC program.
    All done fine.
    Here it is result

    One more question:
next week I will have Fenix 3

So, I have Fenix 2 in Express, Vivofit...
When I 'll add Fenix 3 - who will be main activity tracker for me ?
    I want to set - Fenix 3.

Should I remove Vivofit from Devices in this case ?
    It's not good for me
    Please advise!
