Directly pair my Garmin HR device and Foot Pod with Garmin Connect mobile app?

Hi have the Garmin Connect mobile app for Android on my Samsung Note 3 (build in ANT+ receiver). How do I directly pair my HR strap and Foot Pod (both Garmin and both ANT+ sensors) to my mobile app?

Endomondo picks up the HR sensor, but not the Foot Pod. Surely Garmin Connect should pick up both.

The Garmin Connect Mobile application is only designed to work with Bluetooth enabled Garmin Devices. Any of the ANT+ accessories, such as the food pod and heart rate monitor, will not pair directly with the Connect Mobile application.

These accessories will need to be paired with a Garmin device and then that device will need to be paired with Connect Mobile.
