Allowing smart notification permissions

Garmin connect constantly asks me to allow permission for smart notifications (acccess to my phone, in which I allow) and turns off this option everytime I lock my phone..!!??

Is this an issue with the app?

That and since I did the latest update the weather widget is constantly waiting for connection....

Devices - phone - Hauwei P8
- Garmin - Fenix 3

(Things I've tried - Turning both devices on and off, disconnecting and reconnecting both devices, uninstalling/updating the connect app yet nothing after all of that) I have also searched through my phone in case it was that not allowing the sharing of the data but couldn't find anything... I'M pretty sure it is an app issue however I don't know

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with this connection popup message. Unfortunately, this is a known issue with the application and a few of our compatible phones, and the developers are working to resolve it and correct it in a future update. At this time, I am unable to provide a specific date. Please be sure to keep an eye on the app store for application updates.
