Using live track with Vivoactive

Hello all

This will appear a dumb question to most but hopefully somebody can give me a quick answer. I have a new Vivoactive device and would like to use the Livetrack feature. My dumb question is - once I have created a Livetrack session and sent an invite, I assume I need to take my Bluetooth connected mobile phone with me on my run, or does the Vivoactive send the information direct without the phone? Samsung Galaxy S4 mini by the way.

I think you are correct about needing cell service

I think you need to use the phone with your vivoactive.
