Using Android phone for course planner

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to use the connect app, or google maps on an android phone to navigate courses that you have created in the course planner either on Garmin Connect or on the Connect app?

I have a vivofit and edge 500, both of which do not have the ability to display maps or navigation information, so using my phone to help with this will be great.
