Wifi problem with bluetooth and connect

Noticed connectivity issues with wifi when I connected my fenix 3 to my phone via bluetooth. Given that the whole bluetooth connectivity crap that garmin is going with I'm not surprised that needing to re-pair clock with phone every time I switch of and on bluetooth on my phone is not the only problem. Had successfully installed garmin connect and paired fenix 3 with the phone after realizing that pairing has to be initiated from garmin connect and not via phone bluetooth settings. All that was done with mobile data connection on and wifi off. Then the next day thought that it might be wise to let phone update itself via wifi and turned wifi on and instead of normally appearing wifi logo and phone starting to download updates nothing happens. Checked from settings that what's going on and next to wifi network there was "Connection refused". Tried to add another wifi since normally used router sometimes just refuses to play with my devices. Another wifi resulted in same error. Restarted both routers and phone. Tried other wifi devices when everything was up and they had connection and worked as they should but not my phone just the same error. Tried mobile data and it worked. Switched off bluetooth and wifi and restarted phone ones again. After restart started wifi and it had connection but just after turning bluetooth on all connectivity via wifi disappeared. Phone still thought that it had connection to wifi but no traffic went through. Turned off bluetooth and traffic via wifi started to work again.

Now I finally had some inspiration to explore what is going on. The result is that Garmin connect installed and running kills wifi when bluetooth is on. Fenix 3 doesn't need to be paired with the phone. Since I have not noticed anyone else reporting this I assume it has something to do with my Sony xperia V.

I have noticed the same issue, with both the Garmin 920XT and the Vivoactive. If the 920XT is paired to my Android phone with Bluetooth, and the phone is connected to wireless, I will get wireless dropping around the house. Same for the Vivoactive. It is paired with an iPhone, so notifications show, and if the phone is on Wifi at the time, it will occasionally drop the wireless signal, and in turn disrupt all the wireless in the house, even to other devices. I will be submitting a support ticket to reference it since I am seeing this across multiple devices.
