Just picked up a 920xt yesterday, Connect will not add device even though the BlueTooth has paired the watch & phone.

Help please?!

try rebooting the watch. I found my Foreunner 225 sometimes would not connect unless a reboot was done first.

    hi,
pair the device from within Garmin connect mobile not going through your mobile bluetooth settings

I have tried this, it gives me a passkey, pairs the phone and watch but will not add the device to Connect. So frustrating.

    try again what Toxic proposed

now, remove your device from Garmin Connect Mobile....I know yours is not even there :o
delete user data and cache data from GC Mobile on your phone
also have a look if the FR920 is still in your phone's bluetooth paired devices....remove if present
    restart phone

while Garmin has server problems at their side...how did you succeed in updating the watch to the latest firmware ?

I owe you a beer irl, thank you so much! Clearing the Connect cache and rebooting was the magic bullet.
  • Maybe a dumb question but how do you delete the user info and cache in the mobile app? I'm having similar connection issues with the vivoactive and have tried every combination of deleting/adding and turning off/on. I tried deleting the device and then adding it back on garmin connect (not mobile) but that didn't work either.
  • Phone Settings - Apps
Scroll to Connect and you'll find the buttons.

Awesome! It worked! It actually still took a couple of attempts but it finally connected. Thanks everyone.
