Sync Complete, But It'll Take a While to Process

I've recently been receiving notice on my phone that the Sync with my Vivofit 2 has been successful, however I'm then notified that "...it will take some time to process and check back later." The data doesn't seem to take any longer than usual to process. Does anyone know why I keep getting this message and is there any way to disable it? Thanks ;)

  • I got that also today for the first time. There didn't seem to be any discernable delay for me either. However, later in the day, there were server issues with Connect as widgets weren't rendering and eventually it got worse until it got better maybe a half hour ago.

Same here. It has been happening to me all day today. I'm hoping it's a server side issue and not something I'll have to correct on my end.

Same here 2nd day in a row. I am getting VERY frustrated. Bluetooth drops each and every time, after an hour or so. And then I am NOT able to reconnect. I have to remove the fenix 3 from Garmin Connect and I have to go to the pairing process all over again. Then it works, for a short while. Notifications, wheater, syncing all work, then after an hour or so blutooth connection is lost and the whole thing starts over again, remove device, repair, ........

And now the sync does not work at all. Many fields are unable to sync.

I have bought a watch that costed me 500 euros!!! I dit NOT expect this and I am frustrated to say the least. Garmin responds with total silence. I regret my purchase and wish that I had bought the polar V800 instead. I am a new member, and my postings are moderated. I do not even think I'll make it trought the review process.... Shame...... This is not how one treats clients that bought the best of the best.
  • Yesterday there were outages with GC which made connectivity VERY slow or dead. Today all services are up and running at this moment

Same here!!! Not a single glitch today. The thing leads a life of its own it seems. Even bluetooth connection is going well today. How strange is that!
  • I think the sync of the phone is two way.

    1. with your watch
    2. with Garmin Connect (Online Services)

when one is affected, like the outage they had the other day you will then see an issue. Perhaps GC for Android/iOS could have a better warning regarding online service Status.

This message will appear when the sync was successful and the data was sent to the Garmin Connect servers but there will be a delay in processing that data to display in Garmin Connect. You can check back later and you should see the updated info but you will not need to sync the data again if you get this message.

This can occur for a few reasons; mainly due to an issue with the servers or when the servers are experiencing heavy loads. You can always check the status of Garmin Connect by going here. If everything is showing as 'Online' then it is more then likely due to high server loads. Please note that high server loads are most common in the evening and on the weekend, particularly during the summer months.
