Fenix 2 and garmin connect app (android) not re syncing old activities

I have deleted 2 activities through the website because they did not show the cadence information for my bike rides.
I tried re syncing the watch with the phone to get those 2 activities to see if the cadence data will show up.
Now I can't get the 2 deleted activities to show up at all. They are still on the watch, I can open them and see the details, however they do not sync.

I did open the Device Sync Audit on the garmin connect application and it says that the upload was successful (No item to process).
I recorded a new activity and I was able to sync the new one just fine, however the old that were deleted are still not showing up.

Any idea how can I bring those back?
It looks like the software remembers the timestamp of a last sync and does not try to sync anything that was older than the last sync time.

    So I did use the import functionality on the garmin connect page to import the missing activities, however I still have the original problem which is that my bike rides do not show the cadence data. I see the cadence data on the watch when I load the activity, but it does not get imported to the garmin connect.

    Any ideas why and how to fix this, thanks.
