GCM 2.11.4 BT "lost connect" issue with vivoactive 2.60-2.90

Description:
after certain time (about every 3 hours - not regularly) shows GCM in status of VivoActive - "not conected." VivoActive shows - "Waiting for connection." No self-healing or auto-reconnect is possible.

How often:
2-4 times per day and 100% overnight (really annoying)

Working Fix:
switch BT off, going AppManager, search for GCM, tap on it, then press "Force App Stop" wait about 5 seconds, then press "Empty Cache". Repeat last 2 steps until the cache size is 48kb. Last time empty cache. Now, leave AppManager, turn on BT again. You get sync for next 2-3 hours.

Does anyone have the same problem? I hope my fix helps but Garmin please fix the bug in GCM.

    Yes actually a few days ago i lost my bluetooth connection and no matter what I've done nothing will reestablish it.

    I can only sync via computer USB connection now.

    This needs a Garmin fix.

    Actually I just now tried a new "solution". I've uninstalled Garmin Connect on my phone and did a fresh install pairing it with my device and it now seems to be working.

    ... Hope it stays that way!

    Nope. didn't work. As soon as I got out of range of my phone and the connection was disrupted due to the distance between the paired devices... the connection was lost and it doesn't reconnect!

    Overnight

    I always have issues connecting first thing in AM....very annoying. Android here
  • I almost never have an issue connecting my vs in the morning. I put my phone in Airplane mode when I go to sleep and take it out of airplane mode when I wake up. After a few seconds, my vs vibrates that it's connected but if I look at Mobile Connect it often still says my vs is not connected. About a minute or so later, there is an automatic sync so the phone catches up somewhere along the way.
