Very good question - I do not know what about others, but I can not run LiveTracking only for Facebook. I have to enter soem email to let LT start to work. When I do enable facebook in livetracking there appears for a while some empty screen with facebook logo on top appears for 2 seconds, and than closes..
I have gone into the settings for Facebook and done everything to enable connection to Garmin's Social Sign On and Garmin Connect, including making posts 'Public', and every time I try to start Live Track and send invite with Facebook, I get the message 'Cannot send invites at this time. Try again later.' Please fix this, as most of the people that are willing to follow me on a ride are all on Facebook...plus even if I did send them an email, they probably wouldn't check their email in time enough to know that I'm out on a ride... Please, Garmin, fix this! Such a great feature.
I have also tried deleting the entire app. I have also tried clearing all the data and the cache in Android Applications for the the Garmin apps. Nothing seems to work to enable the Live Track link being shared on Facebook.
A tedious work around is to share the Live Track link from my Twitter and then share that post on Facebook, which is quite ridiculous, but I guess it works.
