Phone Keeps Trying To Connect to 810

I have a Galaxy S6 and a Garmin 810. The phone pairs with the 810 and the Connect app installs fine. However, when I shut the 810 off I will keep getting a message on the phone that says "Bluetooth Troubleshooting. If your android device is having trouble connecting to your Garmin device, follow these steps restore the Bluetooth connection."

It then tells me to turn turn Bluetooth on and off, Restart the phone or to re-pair the phone.

I have done all of this and nothing stops it.

This all goes away if I uninstall the Connect app and do nothing else (I don't have to even un-pair the 810)

This is getting annoying and keeps me from having the app installed on my phone.

Help please.

Thanks

I emailed Garmin. They responded with this. It worked for me.

The first thing we’ll want to do is ensure that the mobile app is up to date. Please do the following:

Android:

Power on the phone
Open the Google Play Store
Select the three horizontal bars in the upper left corner
Select My Apps
Select Update on Garmin Connect Mobile if available
iPhone:

Power on the Phone
Open the App Store
Select Updates in the lower right corner
Select Update on Garmin Connect if available
Next, we will want to remove the device from the Connect mobile app. Please do the following:

Android:

Open the Connect App
Press the three bars in the top left corner
Select Devices from the menu
Press and hold on the device you wish to remove
Select Remove Device from the menu that appears
iOS:

Open the Connect App
Press the three bars in the top left corner
Select Devices from the menu
Select the i symbol in the top right corner
Select Unpair Device
Select the device you wish to remove
After that, we will want to clear the mobile app cache. Please do the following:

Android:

Note: These steps may vary depending on the Android device.

Open Phone Settings
Tap on Apps (may be Application Manager)
Tap on Garmin Connect Mobile (Seen as 'Connect')
Tap on 'Clear cache'
Reboot the phone
iOS:

Press and Hold both the Power and Home buttons at the same time
Release these buttons once the screen goes black and an Apple logo appears
Allow the phone to power on
Finally, we will want to re-add the device from the Connect mobile app. Please do the following:

Open the Connect App
Press the three bars in the top left corner
Select Devices from the menu
Select the + symbol in the top right corner
Select the device you wish to re-add
If you continue to have issues, we will want to collect your App Diagnostics log. Please do the following:

Open the Connect App
Press the three bars in the top left corner
Select Settings from the menu
Select About
Select App Diagnostics
Tap the symbol in the top right to send an e-mail to [email protected] with the App Diagnostics attached

What is it with Garmin?

My problem went away for quite a while and now with the last update it is doing this again. The app tries to reconnect with my 810 all times of the day.

Arrghhhh....

I have had to remove the app from my phone,

Again........
