Hi,
I have a Moto X (2013). With Android 4.4.4 and Vivosmart 3.10 things worked out very well. I would go out of range and the band would tell me and then come back in range and it would reconnect. I received an OTA upgrade to 5.0.2 and things went south really quick. The band won't connect on it's own at all. I have to go into the GC app, select to add a new device and go into the watch's pairing mode to get them to connect. This works about 60% of the time. As soon as I go out of range I have to repeat the process. It's really annoying and cumbersome.
I know about the supported devices list, and I know the Moto X isn't on the list. I'm wondering if this is actually an Android 5.x issue though. There's a few threads over in the vivosmart forums of people with Samsung Note3 and HTC devices that are having issues too since they got 5.x OTA upgrades too. Does Garmin support 5.x at all?
If so, which versions of 5.x have been tested? I know Motorola will be moving the Moto X over to 5.1.0, so if it's a BLE bug in 5.0.2 that's fixed in 5.1.0, that's great to know too.
Thanks,
