Have been running the Garmin CONNECT android APP since I got my ACER tablet back in DEC. Worked fine both recording and holding VIVOFIT STEPS data for 4 months and would SYNC just fine..Now last two days, the 4 months of DATA seems to have disappeared from the TABLET and the APP wont SYNC.
Finally, I just UNINSTALLED the APP and re-installed from PlayStore.

Now, I get the WELCOME Create Account/SIGN in screen on the APP but when trying to SIGN IN on the Tablet, I get
"A problem occurred while attempting to SIGN in to Garmin Connect"

NO DATA, NO SYNC, NO SIGN IN

BTW, I can SYNC on my laptop using the WINDOWS version of CONNECT

what now ? :confused::confused:
  • It sounds like somehow your tablet has corrupted information or has logged out of your account and that's why you're not seeing data.

Do you see your 4 months of data in Windows?

You could go to settings/apps on your tablet, delete cache and data for the Connect App and try again.

Tried delete CACHE and DATA and UN-REINSTALL

Yes, its ALL there in the WINDOWS version of CONNECT on the laptop

You could go to settings/apps on your tablet, delete cache and data for the Connect App and try again.

Tried all that, nothing changed..still NG.
I did delete the cache etc so finally UNINSTALLED the GARMIN CONNECT MOBILE APP 2.9.1 and re-installed. It still won't let me SIGN IN although the WINDOWS version will.

There are scores of BAD REVIEWS on PlayStore regarding the GARMIN CONNECT ANDROID app and how terribly bad it is. The latest UPDATE 2.9.1 ("BUG FIXES") has apparently made my tablets version CRASH and I still can't SIGN IN on the ANDROID version (Windows on Laptop DOES let me in normally)

The 2.9.1 FIX needs a "FIX".. it has CRASHED mine ;-(
  • You can revert to a previous version of Connect for Android. Just Google the version you want and sideload it. In Playstore, make sure that you select not to autoupdate although if you sideload it, it shouldn't know you have it anyway.

A lot of people complain about Connect it's true and, I suppose if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't be a happy camper. For me, 2.9.1 works well as did previous versions from 2.7 on.

If it's just a matter of seeing your data, Connect for Android should display exactly the same info as you can see in Windows as it retrieves it from exactly the same place. Some people have problems logging in, syncing, and sometimes losing data, but viewing data almost never comes up as an issue.

After about a WEEK of NOT WORKING, the Garmin CONNECT [for ANDROID/Mobile] APP began working last night.
I had UN and RE installed several times on my TABLET last week to no avail. Several others with varied BRANDS of MOBILE devices were having the same problem..
    GARMIN CONNECT ... NOT connecting.
I haven't done anything to try and get it BACK UP for the last several days so I can only ASSUME that it was at GARMINS END and somehow they're fixed it.
