App pairs with my FR 220 and Vivofit, then immediately "disconnects" - why?

My phone is a Moto G. I'll pair my watch or fitness band with my Garmin Connect app and it will go through the registration process and sync my activities. One second later it will say "Garmin device disconnected", so to sync any future activities I have to delete the device and pair it to the app again.

Has anyone experienced this?

  • I think that may be your problem. If I'm not mistaken, the minimum android version needs to be 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 is supposedly much better.

    That being said, it is BT 4.0 on it and it does connect and sync so maybe there's hope.

    Rather than pairing the device, try turning on airplane mode then turn airplane mode off again. See if it connects without having to pair. That would be a start.

    Perhaps others with Moto G's have other tips you can try.
