Test messages not showing smart notification Fenix 3 and samsung s5

So i can get calendar notifications but not text message notifications on my fenix 3. Anyone know how to fix this please?

    I was having the same problem. Now, I'm using ios, so if that applies to your phone try this. Make sure that in the SETTINGS>NOTIFICATIONS> (MAKE SURE THE DESIRED APP IS LISTED AS "INCLUDED!") then move the slider under that app to "allow notifications" and below that... (and this was the key for me) make sure "show in notification center" is set to 1, 5, or 10 recent items. Before I changed that setting, my phone was set to "No Recent Items" and nothing was getting through. I changed the settings to allow just 1 Recent Item -- my preference, so the phone and watch wouldn't overload me with beeps and buzzes -- and this started letting texts and FB notifications through. Still seems to be somewhat spotty, but at least it's now working! See if it works for you as well.
  • Same problem on FX3 paired with Samsung Galaxy note 3 and 4.4.4 I'm getting emails (which I can read on watch), fb messangers messages, fb nortiffications, phone calls but TEXT message are empty.... and no calendar nortifications!
    Updateed soft to 3.20 on FX3 and last garmin connect app on android.

    So what's wrong ?

    Android users can select what Smart Notifications they can receive. If you are not receiving text message notifications, please ensure that text messages are enabled. You can do this by selecting the three bars in the upper left-hand corner, select Settings, then select Smart Notifications. To add notifications such as Calendar, select the three dots in the upper right-hand corner, then select "Add".
    If you are receiving blank notifications, please ensure you have the latest software on your device, then clear the cache on your phone. *These steps may vary depending on the Android device. Open your phone setting>Tap on Apps>Tap Garmin Connect Mobile>Select Clear cache>Restart phone.

    Tried all of that still not text message details just nortification
  • Configured in my phone (Samsung note 3) how messages were showed in my lock screen.
    open
    SMS app->Settings->More->Notification Settings->Preview Message

    Job Done!! Works now!!!

  • The option to "add" apps from Android for smart notifications in the new version of GCM is gone, I only have 3 listed of which Connect is one!.....what's up with that? Previous version of GCM listed all my android apps! ....where can I get the previous version from? Actually a bit mad about this....one of the reasons for the purchase was the smart notifications...it was working fine...now broken by an "UPDATE"? Help me out here...maybe I got this all wrong.....

    UPDATE: Uninstalled, found previous version, installed, same issues no list of smart notifications apps, un-installed, removed all trace of BT settings, re-installed latest version, same issues, then re-started phone, re-started watch, and LO and Behold, list of apps for smart notifications appears! ????
