Vivofit sync successful but no new steps appear, I have tried the "temporary work around" listed below, but it doen't work!!!! I have also tried to sync through Garmin Connect on my laptop & it says, "Nothing to sync right now"
:(:confused::mad:
Can anyone help? We were planning to go buy a vivofit for my husband today but he doesn't want one if they don't work....

This didn't work:
There is a known issue that exists for some customers using the vivofit. The vivofit will successfully sync to the Garmin Mobile application but no new step information appears. If you experience this please try the following as a temporary work around:
Press and hold the function key on the vivofit for about 12 seconds or until the screen on the watch goes blank. Now attempt to sync the watch to the device. This should now allow steps to successfully sync. A permanent fix will likely be included in a software update sometime in the near future.
We do apologize for any issues this may have caused you and appreciate your patience.

  • Do you have more than 1 Garmin tracker in the account? Is it possible you are syncing to a different account than the one that appears. I personally have 2 accounts and Connects flips between the 2 with no real notice except the user id is different when I finally notice it.

    No, I only have 1 device. It finally showed up, but gave me an alert saying it could not successfully link... lol!

    Nope. "Temporary Work around" does not work. I'm having your exact same problem.

    Im also facing the same problem

  • I am also having the problem where my steps aren't showing up in the Garmin Connect app after I sync. None of the workarounds I read about seem to work.
